Pip Jamieson is the founder of The Dots; a social network (of sorts) that connects creative people with potential clients. The Dots is often called ‘LinkedIn for creatives’ but as we discuss in the episode The Dots functions in a very different way, focusing on its users above all else and connecting creatives with opportunities.
Pip had what many would consider a ‘dream job’ at MTV Australia but she quit to pursue her real dream. The Dots is a tech startup; Pip had no background in tech, she was female in a male-dominated space and she is dyslexic, but she didn’t see any of these factors as a disadvantage. In fact, we talk in the episode about how she leveraged those things to her advantage!
